“Finding Lost Civilizations”

28 09:00 AM - 11:30 AM (America/New_York) 2025/02/05 14:00:00 UTC - 2025/02/05 16:30:00 UTC
Colonization led to the destruction of thousands of sacred native American mound sites across the world. These mounds were used religiously, residentially, and most importantly agriculturally. While many of these mounds have been destroyed we still have remnants of our distant past preserved as historical sites around the country and within our state. By studying and analyzing preserved historic sites, national parks, and their surrounding topography, I hope to uncover hidden cultural sites of Muscogee peoples, their embedded sustainability functions, and promote a more sustainable future.
